8.04 インストーラ異常停止

どこかのイベントでもらったCD-ROMでブート後、言語選択した後でエラーが出てコマンドプロンプトで停止。

udevd-event[1486]:run_program: ‘/sbin/modprobe’ abnormal exit

最新版でやるとよいらしい。
サクッと8.04.1を入手＆インストール。

Ubuntuが偉いと思った点

  • USBリムーバブルメディアが何もしなくても認識してくれる点（CentOSはめんどくさかった）
  • Bluetoothが（以下同上）
  • WLANが（以下同上）

カメラの動作は未確認です。さしおり必要なデバイスではないので無視。VMware入れて手持ちのXP Pro入れて併用しようと思っていたのですが、その必要はほとんどなさそう。

サウンドがならない件はここで解決。

再起動後、蚊のなくような音量でしか再生されないのは、音量調整ツールでスピーカー音量が0になっていたのを上げてやって解決。
